The Growth Project was established to give predominantly South Sudanese Australian boys from a local basketball club an opportunity to showcase leadership in their local community.
They are keen to show that kids from an African heritage are positive contributors to Australian culture and values. By having a go and making a difference they are building valuable experience and skills that they want to use to work at after school jobs and build toward a successful career.
Mabior has been actively involved with The Growth Project and along with The Richmond Football Club hosted the boys at training session this year.
